The museum is open from 1 to 5 pm on Sundays. There are 50 free day tickets available per timed entry slot. If the time slot you select is sold out, please click the blue "Other times" link to see other available time options.

The first Sunday of each month, New Hanover County residents and employees are admitted to Cape Fear Museum FREE of charge! TICKETS MUST BE RESERVED IN ADVANCE, and can sell out. Valid ID or proof of residency must be shown upon arrival. One New Hanover County ID is valid for 2 adults and accompanied children. Additional adults must purchase general admission tickets.

Once Free Day tickets are sold out, guests without pre-reserved tickets are not guaranteed entry to the museum on Free Day.

Cape Fear Museum members do not need to reserve tickets in advance; simply show your membership card upon arrival. If you have additional guests outside of your membership benefits, they will need to reserve tickets in advance.
